WriteForChange continues to support the Community Food Bank with numerous grant submissions and ongoing grants management consulting. In late 2007 the Community Food Bank was awarded a five-county grant award from the Arizona Department of Economic Security for nearly one million dollars to distribute nutritious food throughout southern Arizona.

WriteForChange helped support the Child Hunger and Nutrition initiative at the Community Food Bank by grouping all child programs under one program and promoting them as a unit. This facilitated a new wave of community donations and grant awards. In 2008 the Community Food Bank will seek endowment funding for child nutrition to meet the needs of 50,000 children at risk of hunger in its service area.

WriteForChange has supported the Community Food Bank since 2005.
